The Society of Graphic Designers of Canada (GDC), Canada's national graphic design association, elected Rod Roodenburg at the society's annual general meeting in Saskatoon.
The GDC's 2008 AGM helped identify a series of core initiatives around membership, sustainability and communications that Roodenburg will focus on for the next two years of his presidency. "These initiatives will be the focus of the organization. Our on-going commitment to establish relationships with other associations, business and government will remain high on our agenda" assures Roodenburg.
Roodenburg is the past GDC National VP Communications, past GDC BC VP Communications, Events Coordinator, and Association Liaison serving the Graphic Designers of Canada BC Chapter over 10 years. He is the past Chair of BC's Alliance of Professional Design Associations representing architecture, interior design, apparel design, industrial design and communication design.
