David is the managing partner of Ion. Actively involved in the Graphic Designers of Canada, he served as National President from 1998-2000 and was elected a Fellow of the GDC for his contribution to Canadian graphic design in 2001. In 2000 Emily Carr Institute presented David with an Emily Award – for lifetime career achievement. He was also awarded Top 40 Under 40 by Business in Vancouver in 1994.
