Casey has always been a kindred spirit with Ion, having been a friend and colleague for 25 years while running one of Canada’s best known design firms, Herrainco Brand Strategy + Design with her husband, Ray. She now shares her ethos and passion around community with Ion.
Casey helps clients tell their stories and translates those stories to design language the world can understand and relate to. She has worked with hundreds of clients including the City of Coquitlam, Tourism Vancouver, Aboriginal Tourism BC, Capilano University, UBC and the Town of Sylvan Lake.
Her extensive experience in design research, community engagement, facilitation and innovation allow her to help refine the ideas that drive effective design. Casey is a Sessional Professor at Emily Carr University and Design.
Casey was named a Fellow of the Graphic Designers of Canada in 2012. She has served on local and national advisory committees for design organizations and schools. She completed a Certificate in Innovation Leadership at California College of the Arts in 2015 and is currently working on her Masters of Liberal Studies at SFU.
